Stakeholder Dialogue Workshops on ETICS future standard

On 26th March 2020 the initial Stakeholder Dialogue web meeting took place. The series of web sessions aims to bring different stakeholder groups together to clarify remaining questions regarding the draft European Standard for ETICS.

The key objective of the European Green Deal proposed by the European Commission and widely supported by the European Parliament, the European Council and many stakeholders is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Improving the energy efficiency of Europe’s buildings will be a key driver. The Renovation Wave as foreseen by the Commission offers a huge leverage. And ETICS can contribute significantly.

A common market and harmonised technical specification for ETICS create a reliable framework for investors, architects, designers, craftsmen, trade and industry. The Stakeholder Dialogue Workshops organised by DIN and EAE aim to make sure the future European standard for ETICS, prEN 17237, addresses all regulatory needs of EU Member States. Furthermore, the structure and the basic principles of the current draft are explained.
