"Energy efficiency is the cornerstone for building a secure and sustainable energy system"

In its Energy Efficiency 2018 publication the IEA clearly pints out that improving the energy efficiency of our economies will contribute to achieve environmental objectives.

In its Energy Efficiency 2018 publication the IEA clearly pints out that improving the energy efficiency of our economies will contribute to achieve environmental objectives. "The world is missing opportunities to improve energy efficiency and today's policies are not delivering the full potential gains that are cost-effective and use current technology. This delayed action on energy efficiency ends up locking in inefficiencies that mean much stronger action needs to be taken in the future", IAE states.

EAE already demonstrated in its Energy Saving Guide 2016 the huge potential energy efficient buildings’ envelops offer – not only in terms of climate action. They also contribute to economic growth, employment rate, healthy homes, and prevent energy poverty. Especially retrofitting Europe’s huge building stock offers a great leverage.
