EAE strengthened ties to the U.S. and Canada

The stated goal of the EAE in the last ten years has always been to look beyond the (European) horizon - with contacts, e.g. to China and Japan.

John M. Garbin, President of the EIFS Council of Canada and David Johnston, Executive Director of the EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA), USA, presented their respective markets as part of the Jubilee Meeting. It became obvious that improving the energy efficiency of buildings’ envelopes is a global challenge. Only if each country contributes sufficiently, the objectives as set out in the Paris Agreement will be achieved.

EAE members could learn from their American colleagues how to communicate the multifold benefits ETICS/EIFS offer emotionally. Subsequently, cooperation agreements were signed between the EAE and the two countries. We look forward to further cooperation - and to tackle the challenges together!
